English Bay Chocolate Factory ULC, a leader in private label and co-manufactured food specializing in protein bars, chocolate, and dry blends, acquired gluten-free market leader Kinnikinnick Foods in 2024. This addition brings together exceptional expertise and a commitment to high-quality food production. Kinnikinnick, known worldwide for its gluten-free baked goods, operates two manufacturing facilities in Edmonton and will continue producing high-quality products beloved by those with celiac disease and restricted diets.
With roots dating back to 1983, English Bay and its expanded team, alongside Kinnikinnick’s gluten-free division, remain dedicated to delivering excellence to North American retailers.
Together, this combined force ensures a strong focus on customer service and innovation while maintaining a rich legacy of crafting premium food products.
English Bay Chocolate Factory has a 43,000 sq. ft facility in Annacis Island industrial park located in Delta BC. Canada. We are situated in the centre of the Lower Mainland only 20km (12 mi) from Vancouver International airport; 22 kilometres (14 mi) north of the Canada-US border (Interstate 5); and only 25km (15 mi) from the Port of Vancouver - Canada’s largest port.
Our temperature-controlled facility is SQF audited and governed by CFIA regulations with strict quality protocols in place.
Kinnikinnick has been producing high quality gluten-free baked goods since 1991. Their Family-Owned company will fit in perfectly with our Family-Owned English Bay team.
The facility will remain strictly gluten free, as well as free from dairy, nuts, peanuts & soy.
We are happy to continue to grow the products loved the world over by those with celiac disease and on restricted diets.

From concept to the launch of a finished product, English Bay Chocolate Factory is listening. Our team works directly with our customers to develop products, from a custom or supplied recipe. Taste, functionality, quality, cost expectations and timing are all important factors. We have an in-house staff of professional food scientists for Research and Development, Quality Control and Assurance. Chocolatiers and highly trained on-line equipment operators are always on the floor overseeing production. Our entire crew from shipping and receiving to reception and upper management work very closely together to ensure success.
